Microsoft Project Working Session Introduced

March 19, 2009--Schedule Associates has introduced a new offering in its Microsoft Project curriculum called the "Microsoft Project Working Session." The Working Session is a collaborative effort for which a Schedule Associates facilitator/consultant travels to the customer's location to work with those responsible for planning and managing a particular project to produce a preliminary project plan or to revise an existing plan for the project. Working Sessions are a mix of facilitation, consulting and hands-on training and work. In most cases, teams will emerge from the Working Session with a preliminary project plan in hand and a strategy for refining and using that plan.

The Working Session may be one or more days in length depending on client objectives, the complexity of the project being planned and how thorough customers want to be in planning during the Session.

"We are excited about this new offering as it is exactly what many of our clients have been asking for," notes Colleen Kaiser, President of Schedule Associates. "In fact, we've been doing working sessions on an as-requested basis for several years. This launch allows us to formalize the offering and make it more widely available so that more project teams can take advantage of it. As a result, we expect teams will find they spend less time planning the project and produce a higher quality plan than had they undertaken this effort on their own."

Microsoft Project Working Sessions are conducted at the customer's site and can be done with any version of Microsoft Project and standalone or Microsoft Project Server implementations.
