Efficiently plan and manage projects using Microsoft Project Server, including Project Web Access and Windows SharePoint Services.
Course Materials:
All attendees receive a 175-page Schedule Associates exclusive reference manual developed after years of working with project managers to understand what they would find most helpful in learning how to use the software. The reference manual is specifically designed to be easy to follow along in, to provide quick access to needed information, and to provide guidance in using Microsoft Project Server 2007 in planning and managing projects back in the workplace.
Who Would Benefit From Attending:
Project managers who are new to the Project Server environment. In addition, managers interested in understanding the capabilities and benefits of Microsoft Project Server will find the course to be worthwhile.
This course is intended for organizations that have been using Microsoft Project, but who have recently deployed Microsoft Project Server 2007 and so need an understanding of how best to use the various components of Server, its benefits, and what needs to be done differently because they're now operating in a Server rather than a stand-alone environment.
Course Credits:
Attendees will receive credit for 7 contact hours of project management training good toward PMI®'s CAPM or PMP® project management certification.
PMP®'s will receive 7 PDU's good toward recertification.

Reviewing and Approving Task Progress Updates

Course Format:
A mix of demonstrations in the various Microsoft Project Server components, explanation of concepts on flip charts or whiteboards, and hands-on exercises in the software to confirm understanding. Workshops involve attendees working in Microsoft Project Server to gain first-hand experience with the tool.
Prerequisites:
Some familiarity with project management concepts is assumed.
In addition, attendees should possess a thorough understanding of how to use Microsoft Project Professional 2007 since this course doesn't include content on how to use Microsoft Project except as it relates to Project Server. If attendees are not knowledegable on Microsoft Project 2007 then please investigate our course Managing Projects with Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 which includes content on Project Professional as well as Project Server.
